Warehouse General Laborer Box Sorter Team C

Job Summary:

As a Box Sorter you will be responsible for manually processing and sorting boxes to meet PLAs quality standards and production goals. This role involves breaking down inspecting slickening and palletizing boxes. • Team C : 4:00 am to 2:30 pm (Thursday thru Sunday)

What Youll Be Doing:

As a Box Sorter your primary responsibilities will include:

• Breaking down boxes that are not received in a broken-down state.
• Inspecting boxes for damage and assessing their suitability for reuse.
• Slickening boxes acceptable for reuse by covering their barcodes.
• Palletizing sorted boxes efficiently by size.
• Meeting or exceeding daily production requirements with a standard expectation of at least one pallet per hour.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly work area throughout the shift.
• Complying with all PLA policies and procedures as well as federal and state safety rules.
• Assisting with other duties as assigned to support and improve overall team operations.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand walk bend stoop reach and lift for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Capable of repeatedly handling lifting and moving boxes of varying sizes and weights.
• Requires good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for breaking down inspecting and stickering boxes.
• Ability to hear and understand verbal instructions and safety alarms in a warehouse environment.
• Good vision for inspecting boxes and performing sorting tasks accurately.

Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this job the employee will primarily work in a warehouse environment. This may include exposure to dust fluctuating temperatures (hot and cold) and moderate noise levels. Steel-toed boots and other personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
