Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3x12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week | Every 4th weekend required | No call requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill adult patients in an 8-bed ICU, including those with sepsis, respiratory failure, DKA, stroke, cardiac conditions, and post-operative or post-procedure needs
• Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation and manage patients on telemetry monitoring systems
• Manage mechanical ventilators and non-invasive ventilation devices (BiPAP/CPAP) and high-flow nasal cannula
• Titrate vasoactive drips and administer complex medication regimens within scope of practice
• Collaborate closely with providers, ED staff, and house supervisors in a community hospital environment
• Float to Med/Surg, PCU, and ED as needed; may receive assignments at an alternate affiliated facility based on staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Indiana
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Ability to work independently in a community hospital ICU setting and float across departments as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with sepsis management protocols
• Rapid Response and Code Blue experience
• Prior experience floating to PCU or Med/Surg units
