Attorney - Insurance Defense

Job Description

We are working with a highly established multi city insurance defense firm looking for a strong associate attorney to join their team. Specifically they are looking for someone with 3+ years of experience with insurance defense. This role has remote flexibility.

Requirements:

3+ years of litigation experience
Previous insurance defense experience
Experience handling matters such as personal injury, premises liability, products liability, or similar cases
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
Admitted to practice law in New York

Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution
Conduct legal research and develop case strategies
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and other legal documents
Handle depositions, court appearances, and settlement negotiations
Communicate with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and other parties throughout the litigation process

The annual salary for this position is between $155K-$210K. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
