Technical Staff Device Modeling and Measurement Engineer

Job Description Position: Technical Staff Device Modeling and Measurement Engineer within the Corporate Device Modeling and Technology Characterization Group. This role focuses on supporting the development of compact device models and characterizing new technologies. The engineer will perform electrical device characterization and develop models that closely replicate device behavior for use in circuit design simulations. The goal is to improve analog precision, reduce power consumption, and minimize physical circuit size. Engineers collaborate with circuit design teams to solve simulation problems and document procedures throughout the device modeling process. The engineer will also design test structures, mentor junior engineers, develop and support code generation for measurement, and troubleshoot issues during the modeling lifecycle. Requirements & Qualifications Education Level Required: Master’s Degree Experience: 15+ years in device characterization or related fields Job Type: Full‑time Career Level: Experienced (Non‑Manager) Fundamental device physics Experience with Cadence layout tools and PDKs Simulation with Hspice and Spectre Experience with MBP/MQA or ICCAP a plus Proficiency in coding languages (Python, Perl, Java, LabVIEW) Measurement of MOSFETs, BJTs, diodes, capacitors, etc. with standard analyzer equipment Excellent communication skills Travel 0% - 25% Physical Attributes Feeling, Handling, Hearing, Reaching, Seeing, Talking, Works Alone, Works Around Others Physical Requirements Normal business hours, 100% inside Pay Range The gross annual base salary for this U.S. position is $91,000 - $232,000, depending on location, skills, and experience. Compensation includes competitive base pay, restricted stock units, quarterly bonus opportunities, health benefits effective day one, retirement savings plans, and an industry leading ESPP program.
