Security Clearance Requirement: Current Secret (at a minimum); Location: Local to Twentynine Palms to support on-site work; Travel: Expected 5-10%; Job Type: Full Time offering competitive salary and eligibility for company benefits Position Description Oceus is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer at the Staff level to join our dynamic team. The Systems Engineer operates and maintains end-to-end solutions, systems, and products for our customers and investigates and resolves product and solution problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel. Additional responsibilities include loading software, configuring, integrating, verifying, and troubleshooting solutions in a lab environment or on a customer site using Oceus Networks products, 3rd-party products, and/or customized packages. This position is based at Twentynine Palms Marine Corps Base, California. The Systems Engineer, Staff will report to the Project Manager. Duties and Responsibilities Maintaining, operating, and testing end-to-end customer solutions Loading software, configuring, integrating, verifying, and troubleshooting solutions at the customer’s site using Oceus Networks products, 3rd-party products, and/or customized packages Implementing and maintaining solution security posture including STIG and RMF, as required Providing the technical interface to the customer for their specific areas of responsibility Communicating effectively with technical and non-technical personnel Proactively keeping skillsets up to date Interacting with managers, project/program managers, vendors and others as required to meet project schedules Interfacing with Oceus NetOps personnel to ensure customer issues are handled promptly and accurately Qualifications and Requirements Current secret security clearance (at a minimum) 2-4 years of engineering experience related to computer technology Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science/Telecommunications or related field; equivalent years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree Excellent knowledge of installation and configuration of servers, routers and switches STIG, RMF, software security implementation experience Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly. Strong partnership interaction experience with the ability to manage complex relationships across teams Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and deliver with high quality Ability to solve problems and work with minimum supervision Ability to learn quickly and work in a team environment Preferred experience Excellent knowledge of wireless technologies and related protocols (LTE, GSM, etc.) IP networking experience with Cisco Switch and Routing at the CCNA level Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion At Oceus our people are as diverse as our projects.
