Job Summary:
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) registered nurse position is located in San Francisco, California. This role involves providing individualized nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia, with a focus on airway management, pharmacology, and peri-anesthesia standards of care. The position requires knowledge of pain assessment, vital sign monitoring, and post-operative patient stabilization to ensure safe recovery and discharge.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts, starting at 9:00 AM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS, and PALS. Valid California RN licensure. Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience, preferably in a high acute care hospital or ICU setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac/cath lab procedures and extensive ICU care
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other campuses or units if needed and census permits
• Additional Information: Candidates must have at least 2 years of PACU experience, be proficient with End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, airway assessment, and post-operative management procedures. Must complete all onboarding labs within 3-5 days of contract signing. Candidates are required to provide valid certifications and California RN licensure documentation uploaded within the last 2 weeks. References obtained within the last year must be available. All compliance documents are due 10 days before the start date. Modules associated with orientation are non-billable and completed during the onboarding process.
