Adecco is assisting their client in the city of Whittier CA hire for a Woodshop Apprentice Position Summary : A woodshop apprentice supports experienced wood workers in various task, including cutting, shaping, and assembling wood, operating machinery and maintaining a clean workplace. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Build pallets, as needed. Build shipping crates, as needed. Become Forklift Certified. Assist in other production areas, as needed. Become knowledgeable on how to operate a Weeke CAN Router. Become knowledgeable on how to operate a Brandt Edge bander. Become knowledgeable on how to operate an Orbit counter Bander. Blank Production Parts, as needed. Assist in carrying out the inventory of Woodshop supplies, as needed. Maintain the woodshop by making sure all the machinery is kept clean and in order. Able to perform additional duties as assigned by management. Required Skills: Gaining expertise in using various hand and power tools. Learning to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Developing a strong understanding of safe woodworking practices. Learning to identify and resolve issues in the woodworking process. Able to lift up to 50lbs bend and stand for extended periods.
