About Laughing Child Farm
Laughing Child Farm is a small, family-run farm producing high-quality sweet potatoes for regional markets. We value hard work, kindness, reliability, and a healthy, supportive workplace.

Position Summary
The Wash & Pack Crew Member is responsible for washing, sorting, grading, and packing sweet potatoes for wholesale and retail orders. This is indoor work with steady physical activity and a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Wash, sort, and grade sweet potatoes according to farm quality standards.
- Pack potatoes into cases, bags, or clamshells (including whole and diced products).
- Lift and move bins, totes, and boxes of sweet potatoes (up to ~50 lbs repeatedly).
- Operate wash line, conveyors, and packing equipment (training provided).
- Maintain a clean, organized wash/pack area throughout the day.
- Follow food safety guidelines and complete basic record-keeping as required.
- Assist with general farm tasks as needed (inventory, cleanup, labeling, etc.).
- Work efficiently within production deadlines.

Requirements
- Ability to lift 40–50 lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods.
- Comfort working in a wet, cold/warm indoor environment depending on season.
- Dependability and ability to maintain a consistent schedule (10-hour shifts).
- Attention to detail and willingness to follow quality and safety standards.
- Team-oriented attitude and good communication skills.
- Previous farm or production experience is helpful but not required.
