A hospital housekeeper (Environmental Services Technician) cleans and disinfects patient rooms, ORs, and public areas, following strict infection control protocols to prevent cross-contamination. Key duties include removing biohazardous waste, sanitizing surfaces, restocking supplies, and laundry management. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and compliance with safety standards. Key Responsibilities and Duties Sanitization: Perform terminal cleaning (deep cleaning) of patient rooms upon discharge and routine cleaning of restrooms, nursing units, and waiting areas. Infection Control: Adhere to strict protocols for handling infectious waste and cleaning, using appropriate chemical solutions, disinfectants, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Waste Disposal: Dispose of trash and hazardous waste (biohazards) according to strict safety guidelines. Laundry Services: Clean, wash, fold, and replenish linens, gowns, and towels. Restocking: Replenish supplies such as toiletries, soap, paper towels, and cleaning agents. Maintenance Reporting: Identify and report broken, damaged, or malfunctioning equipment and fixtures.
