Infectious Disease Officer

The work of a U.S. Army Infectious Disease Officer provides information and research about infectious diseases to benefit the Army. Outstanding Opportunities As an Infectious Disease Officer, you'll be responsible for studying the causes, effects, and patterns of infectious diseases, including biological warfare threats. Through research, you will work to confirm, diagnose, treat and control the transmission of infectious diseases within the military and communities you support. You will participate in humanitarian missions to address the spread of infectious diseases and find new ways to prevent them.
