Physical Therapy Aide

A Physical Therapy Aide is an entry level, temporary position that reports to the Clinic Site Supervisor. Physical therapy aides are members of physical therapy support teams. Working under the supervision of physical therapists and physical therapist assistants, P.T. aides perform nonmedical tasks, such as setting up and cleaning treatment rooms and transporting patients to different areas of a health care facility.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and manage the logistics of patient care throughout the facility.
• Applying heat and cold packs
• Maintaining accurate flow sheets for patient exercise
• Answering patient questions
• Directing patients as instructed by supervising clinician
• Maintaining a clean clinic environment, by performing tasks included but not limited to: laundry, routine surface cleaning, trash removal, organization of light equipment, organizing relevant patient health information, and low skilled supervised requests within the scope of the facility
• Performs other duties as assigned by their supervisor

• High stress tolerance – Can tolerate multi-tasking without becoming frustrated in a fast-paced clinic

Experience/Educational requirements:

• EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED Required
• EXPERIENCE: Health science background and/or prior Physical Therapy Aide experience preferred
