Facility:
This facility is Richmond's largest delivery center, featuring a state-of-the-art 40-bed Level III NICU designed around a single-family room model that prioritizes family-centered care. The hospital is supported by on-site pediatric surgery and cardiology specialists, a nurse-led neonatal transport team, and a highly collaborative, innovative team committed to excellence in neonatal care.
Opportunity:
Board Certified/Board Eligible - Neonatology
Job Details:

Provide exceptional neonatal intensive care in a 40-bed Level III NICU environment
Collaborate with a dedicated group of Neonatologists providing continuous 24/7 in-house coverage
Utilize advanced therapies including HFOV, HFJV, inhaled nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia
Work alongside on-site pediatric surgery and cardiology specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care
Coordinate with a nurse-led neonatal transport team for patient transfers and emergency situations
Deliver care in a single-family room NICU model that prioritizes family-centered care
Focus exclusively on NICU patients with no requirement to cover the newborn nursery
Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and collaborative clinical research
Contribute to a team culture that values innovation, education, and compassionate family support
Weekend coverage included as part of the 24/7 in-house rotation schedule
Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine required
Board Certification in Pediatrics required
Active Virginia medical license or willingness to obtain required
Clean malpractice and license history highly preferred
