Field Service Engineer

Field Service Engineer/Service Technician (Denver, CO) Position Summary Under remote supervision, Advanced Sterilization Products’ Field Service Engineer I is responsible for providing customer service solutions related to installation, validation, and maintenance of ASP systems, improving system utilization, and supporting lifecycle management activities in assigned accounts. Duties and Responsibilities Partner with sales and clinical education field teams to deliver customer‑focused solutions and sustain ASP’s install base. Manage primary territory, including compliance, documentation, and customer expectations. Install, operate, plan maintenance, repair, and modify ASP systems; perform preventive maintenance and document performance. Schedule all technical/service work with leadership, customers, and scheduling personnel. Provide critical service support and troubleshoot issues, performing corrective actions as required. Complete all training and documentation requirements on time. Advise on design improvements to enhance equipment efficiency and reduce operating costs. Develop project plans for new equipment installation. Manage RMA returns and personal “trunk” inventory, completing required audits. Offer guidance to customers, including biomedical engineers, and assist field service technicians. Provide feedback on design improvement opportunities. Support beta site installation and perform additional duties as assigned. Serve on‑call, including weekend coverage on a rotating basis. Qualifications Education High School or Equivalent Associate’s Degree Bachelor’s Degree Master’s Degree (optional) PhD (optional) Other: Minimum 3 years of related work experience with Associate Degree. Experience Minimum 5 years in customer support/customer relations/technical support. Minimum 2 years in customer service. Minimum 3 years in a field service environment (electronics or medical device) or biomedical engineering in a hospital. Skills & Knowledge Customer service excellence and motivation for high satisfaction. Excellent verbal and written communication, time management, teamwork. Proficiency with office programs (Word, Excel, Access) and territory management software. Inventory management, business processes, and calibrated tool usage. Knowledge of service systems, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Preferred: 4+ years in Medical Device industry, field service experience, MCP or Microsoft A+ certification. Physical Requirements Talk and hear all job functions; sit, use hands, handle, stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, lift 80 lbs. Operate company vehicles; occasional air travel 50% of the time. Climate conditions may require travel and weekend/evening work. Work Environment Travel: up to 50% domestic, local/overnight travel as needed. On‑call coverage, including nights and weekends.
