A pharmacy professional is needed to provide outpatient and clinic pharmacy services in an in-house pharmacy setting within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). This role involves supporting behavioral health patients and managing community pharmacy duties, including multi-dose and blister packing.
Location: Sellersburg, IN
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Type: Contract, starting ASAP for 8 weeks, with potential to transition to a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) position
Responsibilities:
- Perform typical community pharmacy tasks, including prescription dispensing and patient counseling
- Handle multi-dose and blister packing
- Work closely with two experienced pharmacy technicians
- Utilize Pioneer pharmacy system to manage approximately 100 prescriptions daily
- Support the pharmacy’s integration within the larger FQHC network
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Recent experience in community pharmacy practice
- Familiarity with outpatient/clinic pharmacy operations
- Experience with 340B program preferred but not required
- Ability to work effectively in a team with pharmacy technicians
This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a newer pharmacy focused on serving a diverse patient population, including those receiving behavioral health services. The contract role may lead to a leadership position as a Pharmacist in Charge.
