Payroll Specialist

Tridec Technologies, LLC is a veteran-owned small business with over 15 years of experience supporting NOAA's Office for Coastal Management, providing contract support and managing the Coastal Management and Digital Coast Fellowship Programs.

Job Duties

• Process biweekly or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule.
• Review and verify employee timekeeping, hours, deductions, and payroll data.
• Maintain accurate and confidential payroll and employee records.
• Calculate wages, deductions, taxes, benefits, and other payroll adjustments.
• Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2s and other required payroll reporting.
• Reconcile payroll reports and identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Process payroll corrections, adjustments, and off-cycle payments as needed.
• Respond professionally to employee questions regarding payroll, deductions, and pay statements.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Qualification

• 2+ years of payroll processing or payroll administration experience
• Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements
• Experience handling confidential employee and payroll information
• Experience reconciling payroll reports and resolving discrepancies
• Payroll certification such as FPC or CPP
