About Position:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) with 5–8 years of experience to lead a major workstream or own a mid-sized client engagement. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs , along with practical exposure to AIDLC and Generative AI-enabled software development . You will provide technical leadership, define module architecture and engineering standards, mentor engineers, and serve as a trusted technical partner for client stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

\n
• Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of a program module or major engineering workstream.
\n
• Define module architecture, coding standards, engineering practices, and technical design principles.
\n
• Translate ambiguous business and executive requirements into clear and actionable engineering plans.
\n
• Lead technical design discussions, architecture reviews, code reviews, and pull request reviews.
\n
• Design and deliver scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs.
\n
• Drive modernization initiatives including application, workflow, and data modernization.
\n
• Promote adoption of AI Development Life Cycle (AIDLC) practices across engineering activities.
\n
• Leverage GitHub Copilot and GenAI-assisted development practices to improve software engineering productivity.
\n
• Design and contribute to RAG, agentic AI, context-engineering, and MCP-based integrations where applicable.
\n
• Define evaluation approaches and measure developer productivity outcomes from AI-assisted engineering tools.
\n
• Mentor junior and mid-level FDEs and contribute to reusable engineering assets and playbooks.
\n
• Own the technical relationship with clients at the module/workstream level and lead technical reviews and demonstrations.
\n

Expertise You'll Bring:

\n
• 5–8 years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on Java development expertise.
\n
• Strong knowledge of Java 8/11/17/21, OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, functional interfaces, and Java migration patterns.
\n
• Strong experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot, including dependency injection, MVC, transaction management, configuration, exception handling, ORM, security fundamentals, multiple database connections, and version upgrades.
\n
• Deep understanding of Microservices Architecture, including Saga patterns, orchestration vs. choreography, API gateways, distributed data consistency, failure handling, and resilience.
\n
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs, including external API integration, timeout/fallback handling, and performance troubleshooting.
\n
• Experience with Redis caching, application performance optimization, authentication/authorization, and secure configuration management.
\n
• Understanding of AIDLC and how AI can accelerate different stages of the software development lifecycle.
\n
• Practical understanding of Generative AI/LLM application patterns, including prompting, RAG, tool/function calling, context engineering, agentic solutions, and MCP fundamentals.
\n
• Hands-on familiarity with GitHub Copilot and spec-driven AI-assisted development.
\n
• Experience with engineering tools and platforms such as GitHub, Maven, PostgreSQL, Docker, Jira/Confluence, Kafka, SonarQube, and GCP.
\n
• Exposure to GKE/Cloud Run, Harness, Terraform, Vertex AI, Camunda/Appian, and agentic frameworks is valuable.
\n
• Strong technical leadership, problem-solving, communication, mentoring, and client-facing capabilities.
\n
