Job Title: Truck Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Truck Technician who will play a crucial role in ensuring that our fleet of trucks is uniformly road-ready in the shortest period possible. The position involves installation and preparation services for a variety of electronic systems such as telematics, camera systems, ELDs, geo-fencing, and lane departure systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform drilling and bolt-on type modifications.
• Route and clip necessary wiring or lines.
• Conduct light fabrication of affiliated bracketry to complete routing and clipping.
• Use and maintain hand and power tools effectively.
• Climb in and out of truck cabs as needed.
• Perform mechanical assembly and modifications.
• Contribute to production, construction, and repair tasks as needed.

Essential Skills

• Basic mechanical skills.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform light fabrication.
• Ability to follow specific directions and work under supervision.
• Experience in automotive service, fabrication, or general mechanical work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must have a mechanical experience and be proficient with hand tools.
• Possess a personal set of basic tools as listed in the Basic Level Tool List.

Work Environment

The work environment is clean and organized, although it is not heated or cooled. The space has large doors that open to allow trucks onto the line, making it subject to temperature changes. Steel toe safety shoes are required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Statesville, NC.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
