Position Type Full Time Pay Rate $22.26 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeThur07:00 PM - 07:00 AMFri07:00 PM - 07:00 AMSat07:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government locations. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notifying appropriate personnel and/or public service agencies. Monitor access to government facilities, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity. Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and handle authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and Allied Universal procedures. Minimum Requirements Possess a college degree. Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate. A guard card or license is preferred. A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred. An armed guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
