Dental Assistant

Job Details Location: Emerald West Dental Boise - Boise, ID 83704 Position Type: Full Time Job Summary A Dental Assistant supports dentists and hygienists in delivering high-quality oral care to patients. They perform a mix of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the dental office runs smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments and equipment Assist the dentist during procedures such as fillings, extractions, and cleanings Take and develop dental X-rays Record patient medical histories and treatment information Provide patients with pre- and post-operative instructions Manage patient appointments, billing, and recordkeeping Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols Maintain inventory of dental supplies and materials Support patient comfort and address any concerns during visits Qualifications Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and ability to multitask Proficiency with dental software and office systems Certification in radiography and CPR (as required by state regulations) Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred On-the-job training or prior experience in a dental office is an advantage Hourly Pay Rate: Depending on Experience Job Type: Full-time Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Referral program We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
