Field Safety Techs (NM)

Job Description Field Safety Professional This field-based role supports mining and oil and gas operations by promoting safe work practices, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. Primary Responsibilities Provide field safety support for mining and oil and gas projects. Lead or support safety meetings, training, inspections, audits, and incident investigations. Identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and support compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Review safety plans, JSAs, and field documentation to support safe project execution. Track HSE performance, manage reporting, and support injury case management as needed. Partner with project teams to promote proactive safety leadership in the field. Qualifications and Requirements Degree or diploma in occupational safety, environmental health, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of health and safety experience in mining, oil and gas, construction, or other high-hazard operations. Knowledge of HSE management systems, risk assessment, incident investigation, and applicable safety regulations. Strong communication, field coaching, and problem‑solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a valid driver’s license. Ability to work independently in the field and travel as needed. GHD is an equal opportunity employer.
