GENERAL SUMMARY

The Director, APP Operations UA supports strategy and improvement of APP utilization and productivity across Urology practices. This role partners closely with the National APP Leadership to enhance APP utilization, standardize workflows, and drive operational initiatives.

• Partners with the Vice President of APP Operations, national APP leadership team, practice leadership, physicians, APP leaders, and operational stakeholders to implement APP operational strategy across assigned practices and markets.
• Develops a comprehensive understanding of APP staffing models, organizational structures, workflows, and operational needs across practices.
• Uses enterprise and practice-level data to evaluate APP productivity, financial performance, staffing, utilization, ramping, retention, and other key operational metrics.
• Develops and monitors standardized APP performance benchmarks and scorecards to identify high-performing practices and areas of opportunity.
• Conducts practice assessments and on-site evaluations to understand current-state APP workflows, staffing, scheduling, physician-APP care models, and operational barriers.
• Develops practice-specific implementation plans to optimize APP utilization, workflow, access, productivity, and overall practice performance.
• Maintains ongoing partnerships with practice leadership to support implementation, evaluate progress, and address practice-specific operational needs.
• Identifies high-performing APP models and best practices across the organization and develops strategies to standardize or scale successful approaches where appropriate.
• Partners with Finance, Human Resources, Revenue Cycle, Analytics, and practice leadership to support standardized and scalable APP compensation, incentive, productivity, and performance models.
• Evaluates APP workforce and staffing needs, including physician-to-APP ratios, recruitment needs, ramping expectations, retention, and opportunities to expand APP capacity.
• Partners with Provider Recruitment and practice leadership to support APP workforce planning and recruitment efforts.
• Develops and supports APP leadership infrastructure, including Lead APPs, regional APP leadership, national committees, and practice-level representation.
• Establishes consistent communication and accountability structures with APP and practice leadership to identify local needs, operational barriers, and opportunities for improvement. § Facilitates communication and best-practice sharing across practices and serves as an operational resource for APP leaders, physicians, and practice leadership.
• Partners with Human Resources, Compliance, Credentialing, and practice leadership to understand state regulations, practice bylaws, credentialing requirements, and organizational policies affecting APP scope and utilization.
• Partners with APP clinical leadership to ensure operational infrastructure supports clinical initiatives, top-of-scope practice, and effective physician-APP team-based care.
• Participates in enterprise and practice leadership meetings where APP workforce, operations, performance, or strategy are discussed and communicates progress, opportunities, and outcomes.
• Maintains awareness of national APP operational trends and best practices and performs other position-related duties as assigned.
• Employees shall adhere to high standards of ethical conduct and will comply with and assist in complying with all applicable laws and regulations. This will include and not be limited to following the Urology Alliance Code of Conduct and all Urology Alliance and practice policies and procedures; maintaining the confidentiality of patients' protected health information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); immediately reporting any suspected concerns and/or violations to a supervisor and/or the Compliance Department; and the timely completion of the Annual Compliance Training.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES OR REGISTRY REQUIREMENTS

• License and certification as required by state.
• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Master's degree required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years Urology experience.
• Previous provider relationship-building experience.

REQUIRED TRAVEL

• Travel required (approximately 30-40%) to practice sites for on-site visits, training, meetings and conferences.
