Travel Respiratory Therapist – Pediatric RT American Traveler is seeking a travel Pediatric Respiratory Therapist for a 13‑week contract in Columbia, Missouri, at an academic medical center. Assignment Overview Shift: 3 nights of 12‑hour shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) Hours: 36 hours per week (3 × 12) Start Date: 07/06/2026 Contract Length: 13 weeks Employment Type: Travel Job Description Provide respiratory therapy services to neonatal and pediatric patients in a NICU/pediatric unit. The role involves night shift care, floating to other units as needed, and acceptance of rotating schedules and inclement weather. At least 50 % of holidays during the contract must be worked. Availability for requested time off must be disclosed upfront. The position is 24/7; be prepared for exposure to contagious illnesses. Requirements Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. MO state license or compact licensure at time of consideration. Minimum 2 years overall RT experience, including at least 1 year in NICU or pediatric respiratory therapy. PALS and NRP certifications; pending certification in one may be considered. Experience with Cerner EMR preferred. Physical ability to ambulate, reach, and lift objects ≥ 20 lb. Two professional references required. Cannot reside within 50 miles of facility; candidates within 75 miles may be considered at a local rate. Additional Information Must be available to work at least 50% of holidays during the contract.
