Job Title Supply Technician - Senior - Materials Management Location Main Campus, Jackson Job Summary Manages and maintains software replenishment systems. Work collaboratively with staff to assure department expectations are achieved while optimizing inventory and par levels. Perform stocking, distribution of all incoming supplies and equipment, and manage inventory. Education & Experience High School diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience in stocking, loading, replenishing or distributing inventory. Certifications, Licenses, or Registration N/A Preferred Qualifications Hospital supply work experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Computer skills and ability to work with related software programs. Microsoft knowledge and ability to navigate through spreadsheets and databases. Knowledge of shipping, receiving, stocking, and equipment and inventory management methods and procedures. Ability to review inventory utilization analysis reports. Interpersonal skills to interact with staff and upper-level management. Communication skills, verbal and written. Ability to work in a team environment. Responsibilities Responsible for auditing and management of replenishment system and resolution of issues. Operates all replenishment system software and programs according to institutional and department policy and procedures. Facilitates physical set up of area including scales, controllers, downloaders, probes, shelf registration, mobile cart and computers. Monitors and reports expired stock and improper stock rotation, identifies issues and seeks resolution. Demonstrates ability to ensure TIC compliance for stock storage. Stocks, maintains and controls inventory of supplies for assigned areas according to department policy and procedures. Delivers and verifies incoming shipments and/or materials to assigned destinations according to departmental policy and procedures. Orders required supplies for assigned areas according to departmental policies and procedures. Places purchase requisitions for special orders and stock items as required according to departmental policies and procedures. In absence of a supervisor may act as a shift team lead, assigning work responsibilities and following up on task completion. Opens, picks, closes and distributes internal orders according to departmental policy and procedures. Adheres to required hospital standards relative to internal policies, OSHA, TIC and departmental policies and procedures. Assists with changes in the automated inventory system, adding and removing items from par locations and adjusting par levels. Creates and submits a daily system tracking report for all changes. Physical & Environmental Demands Requires occasional exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environments such as high noise levels, heat and cold, potentially dangerous equipment, biohazardous conditions (radiation, blood borne pathogens, fumes or airborne particles), and toxic or caustic chemicals. May involve occasional travelling to offsite locations and working hours beyond the regular schedule. Physical activities include frequent bending, lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds, crouching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, standing, twisting and walking (frequent to constant).
