Marketing Project CoordinatorSouthfield, Michigan, United States — thyssenkrupp Materials NA, Inc.We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Marketing Project Coordinator to help plan, coordinate, and execute marketing projects across our organization. This position is a fully remote opportunity, working Eastern Time business hours in a part-time capacity, approximately 20 hours per week. This role is ideal for someone who is naturally good at taking a complex project, understanding what needs to happen, identifying the people and resources needed to move it forward, and creating a clear path to completion. The Marketing Project Coordinator will work with members of the Marketing team, internal stakeholders across the organization, and external vendors to coordinate requirements, timelines, deliverables, and implementation.While marketing experience is helpful, strong project coordination skills, sound judgment, organization, and follow-through are more important. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, asks good questions, anticipates next steps, and keeps projects moving without requiring constant direction. The role reports to Marketing leadership and has the potential to expand in scope and grow into a full-time position over time.What We're Looking ForThe right candidate for this role goes beyond tracking tasks and deadlines. They are able to understand the broader project, identify what is needed to move work forward, and take ownership of coordinating the path to completion.Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to:Take initiative and move assigned projects forward with appropriate independence.Follow up consistently and professionally with stakeholders and vendors to keep projects on schedule.Bring structure and organization to projects with evolving or incomplete requirements.Coordinate multiple stakeholders, priorities, details, and deadlines effectively.Ask thoughtful questions, identify missing information, and determine appropriate next steps.Maintain reliable follow-through on commitments, action items, and project documentation.Prioritize competing demands and recognize when issues, risks, or delays require escalation.Build effective working relationships across teams, functions, and levels of the organization.Work independently and manage time effectively in a fully remote environment.Project Coordination & ExecutionCoordinate marketing projects from initial planning through completion, helping define requirements, next steps, timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables.Take ownership of assigned projects and proactively drive them forward.Break complex or ambiguous projects into manageable tasks and determine what information, resources, approvals, and stakeholders are needed.Track deadlines, dependencies, open questions, and outstanding actions and follow up to keep work on schedule.Identify potential roadblocks early and work with the appropriate people to resolve or escalate them.Maintain clear, accurate project documentation so decisions, requirements, responsibilities, and status are easy to understand.Stakeholder & Vendor CoordinationWork directly with internal stakeholders across departments to understand project requirements, gather information, coordinate decisions, and support implementation.Serve as a central point of coordination for assigned projects involving multiple teams, locations, or stakeholders.Communicate directly with external vendors regarding requirements, specifications, quotes, schedules, deliverables, and implementation.Coordinate projects that may involve many individual locations or stakeholders, such as exterior signage, interior building branding, and other physical rebrand initiatives.Ensure stakeholders and vendors understand expectations, deadlines, responsibilities, and next steps.Follow up persistently and professionally when information, decisions, or deliverables are needed to keep a project moving.Marketing Team CoordinationSupport the Marketing team with planning, organization, documentation, and execution of projects and initiatives.Maintain project plans, tasks, timelines, and supporting documentation within Asana and other systems.Help ensure project owners understand upcoming deadlines, dependencies, and responsibilities.As the role develops, assist with broader coordination of Marketing team projects, priorities, workflows, and workload.Support routine project administration as needed, including vendor documentation and invoice processing.Required Skills & ExperiencePrevious experience coordinating or managing projects involving multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and deliverables.Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Demonstrated ability to evaluate a project or problem, determine what needs to happen next, and create an actionable plan.Strong interpersonal skills and confidence working directly with stakeholders at different levels of an organization.Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with both internal teams and external vendors.Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently, take ownership of assignments, and follow through without extensive oversight.Comfortable working through ambiguity and asking the right questions to clarify requirements and next steps.Ability to learn new software, platforms, processes, and systems quickly.Experience with project management or task management platforms is helpful but not required.Marketing, communications, events, operations, facilities, or other relevant business experience is a plus.Benefits OverviewMedical, Dental, Vision InsuranceLife Insurance and DisabilityVoluntary Wellness Programs401(k) or RRSP programs with Company MatchPaid Vacation and HolidaysTuition ReimbursementAnd more!Benefits may vary based on job, country, union role, and/or company segment.
