Cost Analyst

Financial Analyst Location: LaPorte, Indiana (Fully Onsite) Salary Range: $80,000 – $90,000 Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and analytical Financial Analyst to join our growing manufacturing team in LaPorte, Indiana. This fully onsite role will support financial planning, cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision-making within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing accounting or finance, strong cost accounting exposure, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights. Key Responsibilities Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, labor, and overhead variances to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and monthly performance analysis. Partner with operations and plant leadership to provide financial insights that support business decisions and profitability initiatives. Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis. Develop and maintain financial models, KPI reporting, and ad hoc analysis to support strategic planning and operational performance. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required. 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, or manufacturing finance. Experience within a manufacturing environment with strong understanding of cost accounting principles. Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical/problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across departments. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing reporting tools. Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, inventory analysis, and variance reporting. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
