Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced ***Registered Nurse (RN) – Infusion & Injection Suite***

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required (1+ years experience in a specialty role).

This is a FULL-TIME/Temp-to-Hire position requiring availability between the hours of 8:00AM-5:00PM Monday through Thursday and 8:00AM-2:00PM Friday, located in Virginia Beach, VA (23454).

Responsibilities:

A Day in the Life of a Registered Nurse (RN):

Provides direct patient care in a specialty rheumatology practice's Infusion & Injection Suite. Responsible for administering biologic infusions and injectable medications, monitoring patients throughout treatment, educating patients regarding therapies, and collaborating with providers to ensure safe and effective care.

Duties include:

• Administer IV biologic infusions and injectable medications
• Perform patient assessments before, during, and after treatment
• Monitor patients for infusion-related reactions and initiate appropriate interventions
• Start and maintain peripheral IV access
• Verify medication orders, allergies, laboratory results, and dosing prior to treatment
• Educate patients regarding medications, side effects, and treatment expectations
• Accurately document patient care and treatment outcomes within the EMR
• Communicate with providers regarding patient status and treatment concerns
• Manage infusion and injection patient scheduling
• Respond to patient calls regarding appointments and treatment-related questions
• Assist with inventory management and supply ordering
• Maintain compliance with infection control standards and medication safety protocols

Requirements for the Registered Nurse (RN):

Required:

• Current Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience
• Minimum of 1+ years in a specialty role
• Current BLS certification
• Strong IV insertion and venipuncture skills
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to infusion-related reactions and medical emergencies
• Ability to pass a Background Check and Drug Screen

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous infusion therapy experience
• Rheumatology, Oncology, Gastroenterology, or specialty practice experience
• Experience administering biologic therapies
• Experience in an outpatient infusion setting

• $39-$45/hr (depending on experience level)
