Our established galleries can be found in Miami, Palm Beach, Atlanta, and our two-level Chicago space in River North. The Role We are seeking a goal-oriented sales consultant to join our Chicago team in River North. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, and has proven experience in both closing high-ticket deals and cultivating connection. Our next hire should have an innate ability to win a stranger's heart within the first few sentences - someone who listens deeply, builds trust naturally and can easily define collector's needs . You will not be curating exhibitions. Instead, your focus is both earning and retaining client relationships. Through organization and follow-up, you will help collectors feel confident, inspired, and excited to invest in contemporary art. This is a full-time, in-person position based at our River North gallery at the corner of Superior and Franklin. The position requires weekend availability and occasional evening attendance for gallery openings, collector events, and community programming. What You'll Do Build authentic, long-term relationships with collectors, designers, and art-curious clients Act as a trusted advisor - listening first, guiding thoughtfully, and matching clients with the right works Organically and considerately helping clients reach the final steps of owning an artwork. Create a welcoming, energetic gallery atmosphere that encourages conversation and return visits Represent the gallery at local events and actively participate in the Chicago design and development communities Collaborate closely with internal teams on sales strategy, artist knowledge, artwork inventory and client outreach Maintain strong follow-up, CRM organization, and client communication Support gallery operations, inventory receiving/reporting, and sales recording with precision Contribute ideas and energy while remaining a supportive, reliable team player Who You Are Naturally social, observant, and emotionally intelligent—you read rooms well An excellent listener and communicator who enjoys connecting people to ideas Proactive, dependable, and highly organized behind the scenes Style-aware and culturally curious, with a strong interest in art, design, fashion, or architecture Comfortable in a sales-driven environment without being pushy or transactional Energetic, polished, and present - both mentally and physically Open-minded, coachable, and excited to grow within a collaborative team Qualifications Demonstrated experience with high-value sales, ideally including individual transactions or client relationships valued at $25,000+ Background in art, design, luxury retail, hospitality, or a client-facing advisory role Strong interpersonal and communication skills Passion for contemporary art and design Ability to manage relationships, follow-through, and details with consistency Proficient computer and application skills - Google Drive, Photoshop, Canva, Monday.com, apps like Smartist, and AI tools are used on a daily basis. Compensation Compensation includes a base salary plus uncapped commission, with additional opportunities to earn through defined monthly incentives and quarterly performance bonuses. Success in this role is driven by consistent client development, strong follow-through, continued knowledge of the gallery's artists and inventory, and individual sales performance.
