We are seeking several Installation & Cable Technicians for projects in the Ames and Des Moines, IA areas, as well as surrounding states. This role may require some travel, and per diem is provided when applicable.

Candidates should have at least 6 months of low-voltage experience , though individuals with relevant training or hands-on technical education will also be considered.

Technicians will be responsible for installing and supporting a variety of systems, including:

• Data racks and cabinets
• Cat6 and coaxial cable
• Faceplates
• Cable testing and labeling

Additional responsibilities include assisting with the setup of:

• Cable boxes, modems, and satellite systems
• Server closets and network infrastructure

Work environments will include both indoor and outdoor settings, such as school facilities and apartment buildings. At times, duties may involve trenching and directional drilling.

Technicians will follow direction from project leads and collaborate as part of a team.

• Cable installation
• Cat5/Cat6 termination and installation
• Punchdown experience
• Wireless access point installation
• Low-voltage systems

• Strong reliability and work ethic
• Attention to detail
• Motivation to grow and advance within the field

Intermediate

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ames, IA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
