On-Site in Austin, TX - Candidates must be based in Austin, TX

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

• Continuously monitor, triage, analyze, and prioritize cybersecurity alerts generated by SIEM, EDR, cloud security, email security, and network security platforms.

• Conduct initial investigations of detected and reported security events to determine severity, scope, impact, and potential risk.

• Correlate security events from multiple data sources including endpoints, firewalls, IDS/IPS, cloud services, and threat intelligence feeds.

• Document investigations, findings, and response actions in ticketing/case management systems.

• Assist with incident containment, eradication, and recovery efforts while coordinating with technical teams and stakeholders.

Minimum Required Skills (with years):

• Experience triaging security alerts and analyzing security events: 3 years

• Experience documenting incident investigations: 3 years

• Experience with cybersecurity frameworks, incident response processes, and threat detection methodologies: 3 years

• Experience in cybersecurity operations, security monitoring, and incident response: 3 years

Preferred Skills (Lookout for):

• Experience in cybersecurity operations, security monitoring, threat detection, and security investigations: 5+ years

• Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar), EDR (CrowdStrike, Defender for Endpoint), IDS/IPS, and Cloud Security tools.

• Knowledge of query/scripting languages such as KQL, Lucene, SPL, PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

• Relevant certifications: CompTIA Security+, GCIH, GCIA, CSA, or SC-200.
