Job Title
Pay Range: $50.00hr - $90.00hr
Requirement/Must Have
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or similar technical field.
- 3+ years of equivalent Engineering role experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in manufacturing production preparation role and schedule/deliverable management including stages of project plan, process/equipment plan, specification & procurement, installation and trial.
- 2+ years of experience in winding, cell assembly & electrolyte fill on automotive cells (5+ years preferred).
- Experience in battery cell product, processes/equipment, and/or trial activity.
- Experience in activity of Ryohin Joken identification, application, and/or confirmation.
- Experience coordinating with varied functions in large corporate organization, including production engineering, manufacturing, research & development, and Quality, or similar, and reporting out to senior leadership level.
- Experience in interpreting & applying product/process specification, drawing and data, etc. including new material introduction and validation and change point management and confirmation.
- Knowledge in battery chemistry and trials to confirm materials.
- Knowledge in battery manufacturing process and problem solving.
- Experience in trial management and KPI confirmation.
- Ability to evaluate cell performance using analytical tools and quality functions.
- Experience in industries such as battery, automotive, chemical, material, semiconductors, or chemical materials.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams collaborating with equipment.
- Engage and resolve material, product, and process issues both internal and external.
- Create and implement working/trial plans for confirmation and problem-solving activity using Lean practices or equivalent methods.
- Create detailed technical and summary reports for organizational learning and development.
- Provide input to process and equipment plans/specifications for continuous improvement and issue reoccurrence prevention.
- Use and advance systems and procedures for problem solving and learning capture.
- Manage individual activities, status visualization, reporting, and incremental reflection.
- Lead internal and external partner relationships aligning to team objectives, development, and support.
- Support standardization and continuous improvement of department systems and processes.
- Mentor and teach other team members on battery knowledge, trial planning and execution, data analysis, and organizational principles.
- Drive individual development, seek feedback, and monitor progress.

- Experience in application of Lean production systems.
- Experience in product and process/equipment simultaneous engineering for new models.
- Experience in manufacturing plant production operations roles.
- Experience in data analytics tools and methods.
- Experience in digital engineering software tools and procedures, including the ability to read, interpret and modify model data.
