Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant Profession: PTA Specialty: Rehab Services - PT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8-Hour Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Not specified Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Pediatric experience is highly preferred. Strong orthopedic skills focused on pediatric experience. Generalist skills aligned with basic PT education.

Description: The Physical Therapy Department provides rehabilitation services. Patient load varies daily based on census and scheduled hours. Common diagnoses include CVA, orthopedic conditions, and vestibular disorders. The care setting is primarily outpatient, with some inpatient weekend rotation if outpatient volume is low. Weekend rotation is required every 6 weeks, with holidays as needed. Dress code requires black scrubs or a black collared shirt with khaki pants. Department-specific orientation will be provided. Charting system used is Cerner.
