Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a hospital Main OR position requiring NBSTSA CST certification and robotics, orthopedic, spine, podiatry, and endoscopy experience.

Details

• Hospital Main OR unit with 3 beds and 4 staff members
• Day shift staffing includes 2 RNs and 2 CSTs with night shift being call only
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Uses Meditech Expanse EMR
• 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM shift schedule
• On-call required one day per week plus one weekend including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Approximately 10-15 days of call per month due to lower case volume, with call requirements decreasing as case volume increases
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• NBSTSA CST certification required
• License required if applicable
• Required skills include robotics, orthopedics, spine, podiatry, and endoscopy (colonoscopy/EGD) experience
• No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Typical procedures include robotic cholecystectomy, appendectomy, and hernia repair, total joints, and laminectomy, kyphoplasty, and carpal tunnel surgeries
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates will be considered
