Fleet is headquartered in Denver, Colorado, with satellite offices in Seattle, WA and Arlington, VA.Position Overview:The Senior BIM Designer MEP Engineer will be responsible for reviewing project Revit and Navisworks models assessing model development, modeling standards and practices and adherence to the BIM standards and compile your comments on the same. They will be responsible for supporting partner teams such as design, construction, and operations.The BIM Designer MEP will be responsible for establishing and maintaining BIM standards, processes, and workflows. The candidate shall also be responsible for the BIM lifecycle of multiple design projects across the globe.The candidate shall also be responsible for developing piping, instrumentation, and electrical plantroom layouts along with single line diagrams and schematics.Key Responsibilities:BIM Implementation Strategy, establishing and maintaining BIM standards, processes, and workflows as well as educating and training internal teams in BIM software and proceduresBIM oversight of all aspects of the data center life cycle starting with design, construction, and maintenance of data center BIM modelsLead discussions in engineering and construction best practices, supporting the wider team by sharing knowledge with a view to establishing new standardsDevelop BIM Implementation strategy and deliver complex international projectsEstablish and ensure BIM files meet Fleet Data Center standards and are always following the BIM Guidelines during the project by reviewing consultant BIM documentation, BIM files, coordinate output formats, and validate data quality, collect design documents and files for projectsCDE Management, establish and administer the CDE and support efficient management of multi-stakeholder projectsProject Management, coordinating BIM execution and project delivery with project leadershipBIM Execution, create and maintain the project's industry framework documents including BEP, MIDP, MPDT, appendices etc.Technical support, establish data-integrated workflows for building projects and provide support, guidance and training to project teamsDigital technology and content management, oversee the production of smart object content, templates and libraries in the context of the project, deploy the use of Fleet Data Centers content management system Autodesk Content Catalog or other onto projects and manage the best practice use of digital technology for collaboration, coordination and deliveryQuality, establish and administer the digital quality assurance control proceduresWorking with multiple design and engineering professionals on concepts and build projectsRequired Qualifications:Extensive experience in managing MEP delivery across multiple projects or business units5+ years of design and construction experience5+ years working with Revit5+ years working with NavisworksStrong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systemsStrong problem-solving, analytical and strategic planning skillsExcellent organization skills in archival and maintenance operations of project documentsExperience with Tier 1 contractor projects or complex multi-disciplinary programsFamiliarity with digital construction tools, BIM and lean methodologiesExtensive knowledge of software packages such as ACC and ProcoreExperience in the establishment and management of BIM and VDC models including orientation, geo-positioning, co-ordination and the set-up of model reviewsPreferred Qualifications:Degree or equivalent in mechanical, electrical, building services or related disciplineExperience in mission critical designExperience in piping design and chilled water piping and instrumentation layout, plantroom layout design and electrical architectureProfessional accreditation or membership of a relevant body such as CIBSE, IET, Engineers IrelandPostgraduate qualification in building services, project management or sustainabilityTraining in digital design, BIM management or innovative MEP technologiesKey Competencies:Integrity and Ethical Standards: Build trust, ensure fairness, and foster long-term, transparent relationships with suppliersEffective Communication: The ability to clearly convey expectations and requirements to suppliers and negotiation parties, while understanding their needs and concerns.
