Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Qualifications

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement robust, scalable APIs and backend services primarily using AWS-native components (Lambda, API Gateway, RDS/Postgres, S3).
• Develop intuitive, performant frontend applications with modern frameworks (React preferred) and TypeScript.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (product, design, data) to define, develop, and deliver features end-to-end.
• Drive full-stack architectural decisions , ensuring both frontend and backend systems are scalable and efficient.
• Champion code quality, security, and testing across the stack, from API validation to UI behavior.
• Prototype and iterate quickly based on user and stakeholder feedback.
• Contribute to tooling, CI/CD pipelines , and DevOps practices to keep deployment fast and reliable.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of full stack development experience in startup or fast-paced environments.
• Expertise in both frontend (React, TypeScript) and backend (Node.js or Python) technologies.
• Proven experience with API design (REST) and integrating external systems.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures , especially with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS/DynamoDB.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization or data-driven applications (e.g., D3, eCharts).
• A pragmatic mindset: you prioritize shipping and iterate based on real usage.
• Excellent communication and the ability to work independently within a highly collaborative team.

Bonus Points

• Passion for how humans interact with technology.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
• Familiarity with real-time data systems , WebSockets, or event-driven architectures.
• Background in healthcare, data analytics , or other data-intensive domains.

Preferred work location is St. Louis, MO. Some light travel may be required.
