Paid Training.Drivers are responsible for providing friendly, safe, and reliable transportation around the Butler area, for our Fixed Route (city buses).What's In It For You?Starting pay of $24.72 per hourPaid TrainingSeven PAID HolidaysNO SundaysPTO after introductory periodVacation accrual after introductory periodAll runs scheduled back to the yard before 9:00 PMHome dailyStable, year-round employmentOpportunity for advancementDriver Job Responsibilities:Representing the Butler community in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.Provide safe transportation and maintain on-time performance.Perform pre and post trip inspections to ensure proper operating condition of vehicle and equipment.Provide excellent customer service to passengers, including assisting with boarding and de-boarding, communicating pertinent information, and responding appropriately in the event of an emergency.Understanding of ADA compliance.Communicate effectively with dispatch or central office via two-way radio.Adjust to variables in normal working conditions, including adverse weather, traffic and construction, passenger incidents, accidents, and trip changes.Employ all techniques of defensive driving to minimize risk.Maintain a safe work area and a focus on safety to reduce the opportunity for injury to self or other employees.Talent Requirements:Must have CDL B with Passenger and Airbrake endorsement - willing to assist the right applicant(s) on receiving proper endorsement if needed.Ability to report to work on time and in proper uniform as outlined in the Employee Handbook.Must be able to read, write and speak English.Maintain a strong attendance record.Perform pre-tip and post vehicle inspections.Safely operate a passenger transportation vehicle.Maintain a good rapport with the general public.Follow company safety and operational rules and procedures.Write reports in coherent, legible manner.Other functions that may be assigned.During the course of employment, employees may receive and have access to confidential information.
