As a Controller, you will help our clients transform their business with a collaborative approach that allows them to seamlessly mitigate risk, overcome challenges, meet deadlines, and identify personnel to help them with their workforce needs.**Role Responsibilities…*** Assist the accounting team to record complex transactions.* Review complex account reconciliations prepared by the accounting team.* Complete the monthly, quarterly, and annual adjusting and closing process.* Adhere to the client’s organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.* Provide detailed review of the general ledger, financial statements and required work papers.* Prepare work papers for the independent auditors, if applicable* Analyze and interpret financial information and regularly present to the client’s leadership.* Develop budgets, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.* Review payroll and payroll tax compliance.**What you will need:*** ***Education:*** Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree. CPA certification is preferred but not required.* ***Experience:*** 6 years relevant work experience as a Controller or equivalent is required.* Accounting back-office experience is required.* Relevant experience in the Construction industry is highly preferred! Public accounting experience preferred but not required.* Aptitude for developing and maintaining a thorough working knowledge of accounting software and systems. QuickBooks experience is preferred.* Proficiency with applicable software (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc).* ***Travel:*** This position works primarily in-office and requires frequent local travel to/from client sites.
