Position Type: Community Education/ Adult Basic Education Teacher Date Posted: 9/22/2025 Position Overview Community Education/Adult Basic Education/ESL Teacher Schedule: Morning classes from 9:30–12:30, afternoon classes from 1:00–3:30 pm, and evening classes from 6:00–9:00 pm. Substitute teachers required on an “on‑call” basis. Compensation Range: BA Step 1 $46,060 – MA60 $60,182 Instructs students when the classroom teacher is absent. Maintains attendance records when the teacher is absent. Follows the classroom teacher’s lesson plans and instructions. Communicates with the classroom teacher, as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience with adult students. Cross‑cultural experience. Strong math teaching skills and Language Arts (GED Prep).
