The Role:

NYC Hybrid (3 per week)

We are looking for a driven, curious, and competitive Business Development Associate to join our new business (hunting) team. This is an early-career role, ideal for recent graduates or professionals with 1–3 years of experience in B2B sales or business development. You will help open doors with new clients across industries such as Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Banking & Financial Services (BFSI), and Insurance, generating qualified opportunities for our digital engineering and transformation services. Working alongside senior business development leaders and solution experts, you will learn the full enterprise sales cycle and build a clear path toward a Business Development Manager role.

What you’ll do?

• Prospect and generate new business opportunities across target industries such as CPG, BFSI, and Insurance, with a focus on digital engineering and transformation services.
\n
• Build and grow a qualified sales pipeline through outbound outreach: cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn / social selling, and industry events.
\n
• Research target accounts, map key stakeholders (IT, digital, and business leaders), and personalize outreach based on each company’s priorities and challenges.
\n
• Schedule and lead discovery calls to understand client needs and qualify opportunities before progressing them with senior sales leaders.
\n
• Support senior business development managers and pre-sales teams in preparing proposals, presentations, RFP responses, and solution demonstrations.
\n
• Collaborate with marketing, pre-sales, and delivery teams to shape value propositions that resonate with each industry.
\n
• Keep activity, pipeline, and forecast information accurate and up to date in the CRM.
\n
• Stay current on digital technologies such as AI, automation, cloud, and data, and learn how they solve real business problems in our target industries.
\n
• Meet or exceed activity and pipeline targets (e.g., meetings booked, qualified opportunities created) and report progress regularly to sales leadership.

Requirements

\n
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
\n
• Experience: Recent graduate or 1–3 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, inside sales / SDR, or lead generation. Experience selling IT, digital engineering, or technology services is a strong plus.
\n
• Industry exposure: Familiarity with one or more of CPG, BFSI, or Insurance (through work experience, internships, or academic projects) is preferred.
\n
• Basic understanding of digital engineering and IT services (e.g., software development, cloud, data & AI, quality engineering) and a strong eagerness to learn more.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with confidence engaging business and technology professionals.
\n
• Comfortable with high-volume outreach; resilient, persistent, and able to handle rejection constructively.
\n
• Organized and detail-oriented, with familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and LinkedIn Sales Navigator considered a plus.

• Self-motivated, coachable, and competitive, with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
