Sisol-Camp Counselor

As a Camp Counselor, you’ll help create an engaging, safe, and supportive camp experience for children in grades K–10. Camp staff lead group activities, promote social-emotional learning, and serve as role models throughout the camp day. Essential Functions Supervise and engage with campers in daily camp activities. Build positive relationships and foster a sense of community within your group. Promote and maintain physical and emotional safety for all campers. Lead or assist with swimming time, games, art, sports, nature, and special events. Help manage group transitions, behavior, and participation. Collaborate with fellow staff and specialists to support camp programming. Maintain cleanliness and organization of camp spaces and materials. Communicate clearly with campers, staff, and families as needed. Attend and actively participate in all required training and staff meetings. Follow all camp policies, procedures, and health/safety protocols. Other Duties Performs all other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Must be at least 16 years old. Experience working with children preferred. CPR/First Aid certification preferred (training available). Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Effective communication. Problem solving skills. Demonstrates a positive, patient, and team‑oriented attitude in all interactions. Ability to provide guidance, support, and informal leadership to team members.
