Quality Inspector

Description The Quality Inspector works in conjunction with other QA personnel to support production and test manufactured goods. The Quality Inspector will use basic mechanical inspection tools and gauges to ensure a successful product line. Responsibilities Inspects incoming raw materials and components for conformance verification of traceability to existing inspection plans, customer/VMC drawings, sales and purchase orders Initiate and manage the MRB (Material Review Board) process Inspects the integrity of the product to the order with respect to dimensions, correct components, color, etc. Randomly samples the ‘in process product’ to ensure specifications and dimensional checks Identifies manufactured products that do not meet quality specifications Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re‑work and waste Ensures final product meets the specific customer order Reviews the final sign off on the traveler or work order to release the product to shipping Collects quality data for accept and reject rates in all areas Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Word Working knowledge of calibration of gauges and ability to use calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, etc. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and apply knowledge to inspection of products Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5 symbology Competencies Strong attention to detail Proven verbal and written communication skills Self‑starter with an independent work approach Strong integrity and ethics Excellent organizational skills with ability to frequently re‑prioritize Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED 2-3 years of experience in a mechanical inspection environment Experience with ISO 9001 a plus Benefits Health, dental and vision insurance 401K with company match Life Insurance Flexible Spending Accounts Generous annual time off policy 12 Company‑Paid holidays A solid wellness program to support your personal health goals Professional development opportunities Equal Employment Opportunity We provide equal employment opportunities to all applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic. #J-18808-Ljbffr
