Position Title Armed Security Guard – Flex Location: Phoenix, AZ Pay Rate $24.00 / Hour Job Schedule Monday: 02:00 PM – 08:00 PM How This Role Works Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six‑month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. Responsibilities Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, location‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a financial services location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions. Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor activity, and/or deliveries in accordance with site protocols, reporting discrepancies or suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel. Support cash handling, high‑value asset areas, and/or other sensitive operations through visible presence, adherence to post orders, and timely reporting of security‑related concerns. Minimum Requirements An armed guard card and/or license is required. Customer service experience is preferred. A guard card and/or license is preferred. CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
