Classroom Teacher – Laugh and Learn Preschool

Laugh and Learn Preschool is looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic Classroom Teacher to join our team. The teacher will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment while supporting children's development and learning.

Responsibilities:

• Create and follow weekly age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Provide engaging, hands-on activities and learning through play.
• Use intentional teaching throughout the day.
• Maintain a consistent classroom routine and manage behavior using positive guidance.
• Actively supervise and engage with children.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom.
• Complete daily classroom responsibilities, including cleaning and required documentation.
• Complete Procare updates and classroom communication as required.
• Communicate professionally with parents and staff.
• Follow all center policies, health and safety requirements, and classroom procedures.
• Work as part of a team and assist with the daily operation of the center.

Qualifications:

• Must pass a DCF background screening and required childcare screening.
• Must complete the required DCF 45-hour training or be willing to complete it.
• Previous childcare experience preferred.
• Reliable, responsible, and dependable.
• Caring and patient with young children.
• Able to work well with children, families, and coworkers.
• Must be willing to follow center policies and classroom expectations.
