Sr. Research Assistant – Pittsburgh, PA (Health Policy & Management – IHSP) Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Senior Research Assistant who will work under the general direction of a faculty researcher or senior research staff and independently conduct a variety of operational and technical activities key to the conduct of and direction of the research. Specific Duties & Responsibilities Develop data collection tools based on an understanding of underlying study design. Participate in developing standard operating procedures for studies. Design and set up standard operating procedures. Oversee data collection. Analyze data under general oversight and make data‑driven recommendations. Oversee day‑to‑day activities and provide training for new staff on the study. Conduct literature searches to identify background material and information relevant to research interests. Other duties as assigned. Additional Duties – MOVED Study (Housing Mobility Program) Assist with tasks on the MOVED Study, a project testing the impact of housing mobility on adult and child health. Independently schedule appointments and make reminder/confirmation calls. Complete phone and in‑person survey interviews with one adult and one child in the family home. Collect measures of participants’ height, weight, waist circumference, blood pressure, and conduct a finger stick for diabetes at the participants’ home. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Two years of related experience. Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high‑school diploma or equivalent, up to the limits of the JHU equivalency formula. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in a related field. Previous experience working within a research setting, preferably with field experience or participant recruitment. Experience engaging participants from diverse backgrounds. An interest in and experience with housing, neighborhood factors, and/or food policy.
