Chief Operating Officer - Georgie's Kitchen (Concord)

Full-time

Alert Venture Foundry

Georgie's Kitchen is a high-growth food venture of Alert Venture Foundry (AVF) delivering chef-crafted, premium chilled meals through proprietary dispensing technology. The COO builds and leads the operational organization that delivers safe, reliable, efficient execution while hitting the company's financial and growth targets.

This is a builder and an operator in one seat. You run the day-to-day with financial discipline and a hard focus on safety, reliability, and execution. You also build the operations organization, systems, processes, KPIs, and infrastructure the business needs to scale profitably.

You’ll work in close partnership with the Venture Founder. The Founder owns the culinary vision, food quality, menu design, product development, and brand standards. You own operational execution, fulfillment, logistics, operating systems, and financial performance. Together you're the executive leadership partnership responsible for building and scaling Georgie's Kitchen.

What you’ll do:

  • The operating P&L, end-to-end: labor, procurement, inventory, fulfillment, logistics, operating expenses, capital investments, and profitability.
  • The operating cadence, forecasting, financial models, and performance metrics that drive disciplined decisions, improve margins, and support sustainable growth.
  • The operating rhythm of the business: operating reviews, forecasting, cross-functional planning, KPI management, and executive reporting, with alignment across Operations, Culinary, Engineering, Technology, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Partnership with the President & Managing Director and the Venture Founder on operational strategy, growth initiatives, and capital planning, turning strategic priorities into execution that scales.
  • Day-to-day operation of the production facility, including safe, reliable execution and operational readiness.
  • Picking and order fulfillment: accurate, timely, efficient.
  • End-to-end dispenser logistics, in partnership with Engineering and Technology, including uptime, cold-chain integrity, and reliability.
  • SOPs, KPIs, and operating systems, designed and continuously improved so operations stay process-driven as they scale.
  • Continuous improvement work targeting consistency, throughput, capacity utilization, cost, and scalability.
  • Forecasting, inventory planning, and supply continuity, in partnership with Corporate Supply Chain and Inventory Control.
  • Facility maintenance, capital improvements, and construction projects that support operational readiness and growth.
  • A high-performing operations organization with a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements, including OSHA standards, food-safety regulations, and company policies.

What we’re looking for:

  • 12+ years of progressive operations leadership in production, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, fulfillment, or similar fast-paced environments, including senior operational leadership. Food, chilled food, or commissary experience helps but isn't required. Strong operational leadership matters most.
  • Strong financial acumen: unit economics, cost modeling, and using data to drive operational performance, profitability, and growth.
  • A track record scaling direct-to-consumer fulfillment or logistics operations while delivering operational and financial results.
  • Experience developing SOPs, KPIs, and operating systems in high-growth environments, with real improvements in quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost.
  • Executive presence and a history of partnering across Operations, Engineering, Technology, Finance, Supply Chain, and Product inside a founder-led or high-growth company.
  • Experience leading facility launches, operational expansions, capital projects, or multi-site operations.
  • Hands-on experience leading frontline hourly workforces, with a proven ability to recruit, develop, and build future leaders.
  • Calm, rational, patient, and resilient. You treat people with respect and kindness.
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred.
