Work-Life Balance: 1:6 weekend call with only 2 holidays per year - residents heavily buffer call and attendings are historically never physically called in after hours.
Leadership Opportunities: True Academic Medicine Psychiatry - Grand Rounds, resident oversight, committee involvement, and the freedom to pursue clinician, educator, or research-focused tracks.

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: $320-340K average total earnings; base salary $207,500-$237,500 dependent on academic rank; earning potential upwards of $400K.
Student Loan Repayment Assistance: PSLF and NHC loan forgiveness qualified - a significant long-term financial advantage for Psychiatry physicians carrying student debt.
Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance; 40 sick days; 5 weeks vacation; closed Christmas through New Year's and most major holidays.
