Expert Software Product Manager

We are looking for an experienced Expert Software Product Manager to drive the planning and delivery of high‑impact software products and features across HP’s consumer notebook portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for translating customer needs and business goals into clear product direction, while partnering closely with engineering, design, and cross‑functional teams to execute effectively. You will play a critical role in shaping roadmap priorities, driving initiatives forward, and ensuring successful delivery at scale. This role is well‑suited for product managers who combine strong execution instincts with strategic thinking and enjoy working across organizational boundaries. Key Responsibilities Own the full lifecycle of software products or major features, from discovery through launch and iteration Define and communicate product requirements, priorities, and success metrics aligned to broader portfolio strategy Conduct market, customer, and competitive analysis to inform roadmap decisions Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies and platforms to improve customer experiences Partner closely with engineering and UX to deliver high‑quality, customer‑centric software Drive cross‑functional alignment across commercial, marketing, partnerships, and operational teams Track and analyze product performance using data and customer feedback to guide iteration Represent the product in planning forums, reviews, and cross‑team working sessions Engage with customers and internal stakeholders to gather insights and validate solutions Contribute to process improvements and best practices within the product organization Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field 7+ years of experience in software product management or related roles Experience delivering customer‑facing software products in a technology‑driven environment Familiarity working in agile, cross‑functional, and globally distributed teams Must‑Have Experience Led product features or initiatives from concept through launch Built and maintained product roadmaps in fast‑paced environments Collaborated closely with engineering and UX teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions Used data and customer insights to inform prioritization and decision‑making Demonstrated strong stakeholder management across functions and levels Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate trade‑offs and measure impact Comfortable operating in environments with evolving priorities and constraints Tools & Skills Agile Methodology Change Management Continuous Improvement JIRA Kanban Principles Lean Product Development Milestone‑based Planning New Product Development Product Management Scrum & Sprint Planning Impact & Scope Impacts function and leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross‑functional initiatives. Compensation The pay range for this role is $133,600 to $260,000 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
