Accounts Receivable Clerk

Position Title: Accounts Receivable Clerk Location: Leesburg, VA – Hybrid, Tuesday–Thursday onsite Employment Type: Temp-to-Permanent Compensation: $31.00 –$33.65 / Per hour Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Benefits This position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) Key Responsibilities Apply and post customer payments accurately and in a timely manner Reconcile customer accounts and research unapplied or misapplied cash Generate and review customer invoices for accuracy and completeness Maintain and monitor accounts receivable aging Investigate and resolve billing and payment discrepancies Track customer account issues and ensure timely follow-up and resolution Support order release activities by reviewing account status and resolving account holds Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Finance on customer account issues Maintain accurate customer master data and billing information Prepare supporting documentation for accounts receivable transactions Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts receivable Ensure adherence to internal controls and established accounting procedures Identify and elevate complex account discrepancies or system-related issues Analyze customer account activity and recommend solutions to recurring problems Qualifications Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field required 3+ years of relevant accounts receivable experience required Strong Microsoft Excel skills required Experience with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, basic formulas, and data analysis Experience working within a large ERP system required Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
