Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor

Apple Rehab Avon is a family‑owned, short‑term rehabilitation facility located in the rural setting of Avon, Connecticut. We are seeking an RN Registered Nurse Supervisor to lead our nursing team. Open Shifts Full‑time, part‑time, or paid‑day shifts with flexible availability. Responsibilities Plan, oversee, and execute nursing services for residents while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Supervise day‑to‑day nursing activities to guarantee residents receive top‑quality care consistently. Collaborate with the Nursing Director to strategize nursing service operations and emergency support provisions. Coordinate nursing activities in alignment with medical requirements, physician directives, and general care plans. Manage and direct charge nurses to ensure residents receive proper care. Adjust care plans in collaboration with medical staff to address emergency medical needs. In absence of superiors, assume total responsibility for operating decisions required by the circumstances of the moment. Ensure adequate relief staff availability before leaving the facility and notify residents’ personal physicians in case of significant changes in condition or immediate medical needs. Qualifications Maintain a current state RN license and be in good standing as a Registered Nurse. Have prior supervisory experience in a nursing setting. Demonstrate strong attention to detail, good follow‑through skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Show cooperation in assisting others and the ability to work as part of a team. Prefer long‑term care experience. Be knowledgeable of general rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long‑term care. Additional Expectations All RN Supervisor positions require weekend on‑call availability to support both staff and residents. Compensation details are available upon inquiry. Per diem staff are expected to fulfill two weekend shifts monthly to meet requirements.
