Key Responsibilities of the Emergency Room Registered Nurse

• Provide direct nursing care to emergency department patients
• Evaluate, manage, and monitor patients in the emergency setting
• Triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in trauma bays and pods
• Administer medications, including vasopressor and cardiac drips, as needed
• Interpret and act on life-threatening rhythms from telemetry monitors

Requirements of the Emergency Room Registered Nurse

• Active IL RN license or application initiated
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC certifications
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, with prior travel assignment preferred
• Experience in teaching hospitals and SANE RN preferred
