Shift Type:  6:50 AM - 3:20 PM, Monday-Friday (weekend and on-call schedule determined by facility)

Requirements

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the General OR
• Coordinate with surgeons and anesthesia to ensure smooth surgical procedures
• Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with standards
• Provide patient education and support before, during, and after surgery
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality outcomes

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent General OR experience required
• Experience in GYN, bariatrics, vascular, ortho, neuro, and plastics
• Active RN license in Maryland (or compact license accepted)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• COVID-19 vaccination required (declinations not accepted)
• Previous travel experience preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile techniques
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced OR environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs
